This page is for the discussion of Agenda point 14.2: Adding people's names to the agenda items they suggest.
When I was in a co-op, we all wanted to keep the meetings very short and practical, reserved only for points that couldn't be sorted out outside of a meeting. Names on agenda points was good because people could approach the person whose point it was in advance to ask for clarification, discuss the point, offer help, etc. If people can do all of that stuff before the meeting, it saves loads of time and helps everyone to know what they need to do to go into it fully informed.
This becomes a way for personal politics to enter the agenda where people will weigh for or against certain items simply because of who is raising the agenda items.
